On October 3rd, the gardens of Alcudiamar Marina Residence hosted the official presentation of the book “The Story of a Port, the Dream of a People”, a publication that documents the social and economic transformation of Alcudia and its port over the past 50 years.

Published by Alcudiamar in collaboration with the Balearic Port Authority, the book aims to honor the individuals who have shaped the development of the marina and the wider community. Through interviews with thirty key figures from the business and cultural sectors, the book offers a heartfelt and insightful look into Alcudia’s evolution.

The event brought together local residents, the book’s protagonists and their families, as well as representatives from Alcudia’s town council, led by Mayor Fina Linares. A roundtable discussion featured notable contributors such as María José Aguiló (FEHM), Antoni Mir (Mir Llompart Consulting), Ceferina San Pedro (Fonda Llabrés), and Luisa Caldentey, President of Alcúdia Solidària. All proceeds from book sales will go to this local charity, specifically to its educational initiative “Aula de la Mar,” which supports artisanal fishing families in vulnerable situations in La Tortuga, Piura (Peru).
