At Alcudiamar, we believe that sustainability is not a goal, but a way of working every day. Our commitment to the environment is reflected in every corner of the marina, from efficient port management to the awareness-raising actions we promote to involve the entire community. Among these, our Environmental Education Programme stands out, an initiative that has taken on special prominence in 2024.

Although we have been receiving school visits for years, this academic year we have consolidated a structured programme which, between 2024 and 2025, has involved the participation of nearly 400 students from different educational levels – from nursery to secondary school – from various schools in Mallorca.

During the guided tours, students discover first-hand how a sustainability-oriented port works. We show them our practices for protecting water quality, selective management of waste and toxic and hazardous products, and how we apply technologies to reduce the environmental impact of nautical activity. They also learn how we integrate clean energy into our daily lives, thereby reducing emissions and moving towards a more environmentally friendly energy model.

These sessions are not limited to a tour of the facilities. They are complemented by practical workshops, beach clean-ups and participatory talks that allow young people to reflect, ask questions and share ideas on how to care for our marine environment. This experiential learning connects them with the sea in a meaningful way, raising awareness from an early age.

The response from students and teachers has been very positive, which motivates us to continue expanding the scope of the programme. At Alcudiamar, we are convinced that educating new generations in environmental values is essential to building a more sustainable future.

Thanks to our certifications, external audits and programmes such as this one, we continue to consolidate our position as a benchmark for sustainability within the Balearic nautical sector. And we do so with the same enthusiasm as always: to share our commitment to the sea and continue to inspire those who will be its future guardians.
