Alcudiamar has been present at a new edition of the ANEN Nautical Congress, which was held in Malaga on 13 and 14 March.
The Edgar Neville Auditorium served as the setting for this year's 12th edition, which demonstrates the strength of a nautical sector which, every year, brings together a large number of its actors and members in this event.
Under the slogan ‘A united sector, a more competitive nautical sector’, the congress analysed the challenges and opportunities of the industry, from the current economic situation to sustainability, artificial intelligence and trends seen from the perspective of those who will be the leaders of the future in the sector.
The congress featured high-level speakers, who combined experience with youth in topics that covered economic, innovation and legal aspects of our industry. Some of them included Toni Roldán, director of the ESADE Economic Policy Centre, José Luis Fayos, chairman of the ICOMIA Sustainability Committee and internationalisation advisor to ANEN, Alex Rayón, CEO of Brain & Code and Ione Astondoa, CCO of Astilleros Astondoa.
Alcudiamar experienced an emotional day on the second day of the congress, when we received recognition for our participation in the Blue Flag programme for 34 years, being, along with the Club de Vela Port d'Andratx, one of the oldest in the Balearic Islands participating in this programme. A recognition to a whole team behind this trajectory and to our management dedicated to excellence throughout all these years.
In the words of Bartomeu Bestard, President and CEO of Alcudiamar: ‘It is an honour to receive this recognition that reflects 34 years of dedication and continuous effort towards sustainability and excellence in management. This achievement would not be possible without the commitment and collaboration of our entire team and the support of organisations such as ADEAC and ANEN. We will continue to work with the same passion to move towards a more sustainable future.
