8th March is an important date on which we celebrate the achievements made by women around the world and reflect on the road that still lies ahead. At Alcudiamar, we would like to take this opportunity to share the progress we have made in gender equality, and how our commitment to this cause is reflected in our daily actions.

A long-term commitment: The Alcudiamar Equality Plan

In December 2022, Alcudiamar approved its second Equality Plan, which will run until December 2026. With the aim of ensuring a fairer and more equal working environment for all, the plan began to be implemented in January 2023, and, one year on, we have reached important milestones.

Today, the plan is well advanced in its consolidation phase. This is a significant step forward and reflects our continued commitment to gender equality and mutual respect in our work environment.

Key actions in the implementation process

During these first two years of implementation of the Equality Plan, a number of actions have been carried out in different areas that are making a positive contribution to creating a more inclusive and equitable environment at Alcudiamar.

Some of the main measures adopted include:

1. Gender mainstreaming in human resources: We have integrated the gender perspective in all our recruitment and personnel management procedures, ensuring that both men and women have the same opportunities for development within the company.

2. Training in gender-sensitive personnel management: We have implemented a training programme for our managers, which includes team management with an inclusive and respectful approach to gender diversity.

3. Awareness-raising actions on gender equality and prevention of harassment: Through various initiatives, we have worked to raise awareness among staff on the importance of gender equality, as well as on the prevention of sexual harassment and harassment based on sex, promoting a safe environment for all.

4. Use of non-sexist language: In our internal and external communications, we have adopted inclusive and non-sexist language, reflecting our commitment to respectful and egalitarian communication.

5. Work-life balance: We have disseminated and implemented measures to facilitate work-life balance, providing support to all the people who are part of our team to achieve an appropriate balance between both aspects of their lives.

6. Harassment prevention and action protocols: The protocol for action against sexual harassment and harassment based on sex, as well as other conduct that threatens the sexual freedom and moral integrity of our employees, has been revised and disseminated, ensuring that everyone feels protected in the workplace.

A more sensitive and responsive environment

Thanks to these measures, we have noticed a significant increase in staff awareness of gender issues, as well as a firm rejection of any situation of harassment or inequality. Our employees' perception of the importance of equality has improved, and we are creating an environment where everyone can feel respected and valued equally.

Looking to the future: a continued commitment

There is still work to be done. While we have made significant progress, the most complete and measurable results will come at the end of the plan, when we can compare the current situation with the baseline data. This will allow us to assess more accurately what has been achieved and the impact of the measures implemented.

For now, we can say that, halfway through the period of the plan, we have already completed most of the planned measures. Satisfaction with the implementation process is very positive, and this motivates us to continue working to ensure the full success of the Equality Plan and to guarantee a fair and equal working environment for all.
